Christmas Lane of Lights
A fun family event for all ages.
Enjoy a hayride through a lighted
path of Christmas reflections.
Four weeks prior to Christmas every
Friday and Saturday evening.
Downtown Ledbetter
Santa's
Lane of Lights, originally run by the Jervis Family, was a family
tradition for 9 years. Due to family illness, and being just 'plum
tired', the Lane of Lights closed after
the 1998 season. Families from far and near shared in the unique
family outdoor event. Hayrides in enclosed and open "trolleys"
took guests on an approximately 3 mile loop through open
and wooded countryside.
Even with all the spectacular
animated Christmas scenes, light reflections in ponds, enormous
wrought iron nativity scene and other colorfully lit Christmas and
winter scenes, many of the guests' fondest memories are of the time
they shared with family during this special time of year.
The Ledbetter Volunteer Fire
Department has taken on the great task of rejuvenating this much
loved family event, reopening for the 2008 Christmas season.
Refurbishing and construction of trolleys and scenes by the
volunteers is already well underway. Additional volunteers are
always welcome...as are donations of needed supplies. Come on
out and join us for the grand reopening of a wonderful family
tradition!
All proceeds from the Christmas
Lane of Lights will go to the Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department.
